Types of Information We Collect: We collect personal information in order to be able to process and fill your request, primarily shipping information, credit card information, and contact information. Again, we remind you that we will use this information only to be able to serve you and that it will not be sold, rented, or shared.

Return Policy

To help maintain our customer 100% satisfaction guarantee, most merchandise purchased from High Tech Electronics.com may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a full refund (for qualifying merchandise )or a replacement (no restocking fee).

All product returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to be issued prior to being returned. You may obtain an RMA number by completing our Online Return Form. Click Here to submit Return Request. Returns cannot be accepted without prior authorization and an RMA number. Once issued, RMA numbers are valid for 15 days. High Tech Electronics.com must receive the returned products within this timeframe. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued. Return shipping cost (the cost to send an item back to our store) is like or comparable to your cost of driving to any store for returning an item, which is not reimbursable. Therefore, we do not reimburse any return shipping cost. It takes 2-5 business days for us to process and re-ship or issue a refund once we receive the product.

If an item you received is defective, we will certainly replace the item with a new one, however we do not cover or reimburse the shipping cost for returning defective merchandise back to our store. We will ship the replacement product to you at our cost, and use every good measure to ensure that the replacement order is processed quickly.

Refunds: Refunds are applied to the payment method used at the time of purchase 2 - 5 days after receipt of the returned merchandise. We will only refund the value of the merchandise returned, not the shipping charge. It takes us approximately three business days to process a credit back to your credit card and 2-3 business days for it to appear on your statement.

Exchange: We do not exchange product returns for different items. If the return policy period for a refund has not yet expired, you can request an RMA Refund (subject to 20% restocking fee), order a new item, and we will refund your original purchase after we receive your returned product.

Defective items: An item that was discovered to be defective upon receipt can be replaced, or returned for a full refund. All products sold by High Tech Electronics.com are covered under the manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated. Please contact the warranty service provider listed in your product documentation for defective products and missing parts. If, after contacting the manufacturer it is determined that the product is defective, the manufacturer will either offer to repair or replace the item direct from the factory or may refer you back to High Tech Electronics.com for replacement. Manufacturers are the definitive resource for the products they design, develop, fabricate and service. Once an item has been diagnosed as defective by the manufacturer please provide the Case ID number or Issue Number when submitting an Online Return Form. High Tech Electronics.com does not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. If an item you received is defective, we will certainly replace the item with a new one, however we do not cover or reimburse the shipping cost for returning defective merchandise back to our store. We will ship the replacement product to you at our cost, and use every good measure to ensure that the replacement order is processed quickly.

Damaged items: If your package has been damaged in transit, please contact us immediately. We must be informed of all shipping related claims within 1 business day after the date of receipt. High Tech Electronics.com does not issue refunds for returns of damaged merchandise. An item that was discovered damaged upon receipt will be replaced with the same model only. •If the merchandise appears to be damaged in shipping, it is best to refuse the package and request the carrier return it to the shipper. After refusing a damaged product, please notify High Tech Electronics.com. If you knowingly accept a damaged package, please make sure the delivery driver notes the damage in their scanner or on the manifest and notify High Tech Electronics.com.

Replacement: We will send a product replacement after the authorized return has completed our receiving/inspection process. The replacement will ship within 2 business days following our receipt of your return. Although it is our goal to ship a replacement as quickly as possible, we do not send replacements before we receive and inspect the returned merchandise. To receive a replacement more quickly, you may place a new order for the same item, and we will issue a refund for the full value of the returned product upon completion of our return process.

How to Return Merchandise: Please complete our Online Return Form to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please fill in the requested information on our Online Return Form, and carefully follow the instructions for return.

Product Condition: Returned merchandise must be in original condition, and include all factory packed accessories and paperwork in the original manufacturer box and packaging with UPC, barcode, and serial number intact. Products being returned must contain all original boxes, packing materials, manuals, blank warranty cards and all other accessories and documentation provided by the manufacturer. Incomplete product returns cannot be processed; incomplete RMAs will be returned to you. The product serial number must match the serial number in our database. •If a package is returned to High Tech Electronics.com and the condition of the box, the serial number, or the actual merchandise does not match the claim, no credit will be issued and the item will be returned to the customer. Return merchandise must be double boxed with no writing on the manufacturer's box. Your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number must be displayed prominently on the outside of the shipping box.

Shipping Policy

For your convenience, we use the most reliable carriers suitable to your location to deliver your package in the shortest time. Shipping charges are automatically calculated based on your selected method of shipment when placing an order.

The method of shipment you choose does not necessarily mean you will receive your order within the specified number of days. Please note that we count from the day we ship and not from the day you place your order. However, we guarantee that we attend to our customers on a first come first serve basis.

Most orders placed by 1:00 PM PST will ship the same business day. Please take note that we do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Certain restrictions may apply and some products might not qualify for the same shipping. The following issues may delay the delivery of your package:

  • Incorrect shipping address
  • Shipping address does not match billing address
  • Payment delay or credit card verification issues
  • Carrier failure to deliver (i.e. severe weather conditions)
  • Limited stock on hand

Although we ship to most areas served by our carriers, FedEx, UPS and DHL are unable to deliver to PO Boxes, FPO and APO addresses. We are also unable to ship to international locations and outside the 50 United States. We currently deliver only to addresses within the United States. We are unable to ship packages to international addresses.

Tracking your order: Once your order has shipped, you'll receive an e-mail providing you with a tracking number you can use on the carrier's website to track your order. You can also locate your tracking information by logging into the My Account or Order Status section of our website. High Tech Electronics.com ships from several different warehouse locations and packages may arrive separately. To check order status and confirm if the other items you ordered are in transit, please log in to My Account or Order Status section of our website.

If the tracking information shows the order has been delivered, please be sure to check around the exterior of your home. Drivers may leave a package in a variety of places, including garages, porches, or with building managers and neighbors.

If the tracking information shows your order has been returned to sender, please contact High Tech Electronics.com via e-mail. There are several reasons why a delivery attempt may have been unsuccessful and High Tech Electronics.com will be able to work with you as soon as we are made aware of the situation.

If a package has been lost in transit or was incorrectly delivered, please contact High Tech Electronics.com by sending an e-mail within seven days of the shipping date. Our Customer Service Representatives will be able to initiate a trace and/or claim with the carrier and assist you with any questions you might have.

Delivery Exceptions: If your driver is unable to deliver the shipment, you'll receive a Notice on your door. A Notice was left on your door to let you know that a package delivery or pickup was attempted. All shipping carriers make up to three deliveries attempts, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. If you missed a first or second attempt, the next delivery attempt will be made on the next business day. If you will not be available to receive your package(s) when the driver returns there are several delivery options available:

  • Depending on the requirements of the shipper, you may be able to sign the back of the Notice authorizing the driver to leave your package.
  • In the comments section of the note, you may write another address where the driver should take the package for delivery.
  • You may also submit a Delivery Change Request using the shipping carriers (Fedex, UPS, or DHL) Web site
  • You may reschedule the date for delivery at the original address or Return your package to the shipper.

Our Customer Service Representatives will be able to initiate a trace and/or claim with the carrier and assist you with any questions you might have.

Missing item(s) from my order: First, verify that you've received a box for each tracking number associated with your order. If all boxes have been delivered but you're still missing an item, check the packing material for small items. Please contact us if you're unable to locate an item. We maintain a vast distribution network covering the United States in order to speed up delivery time to our customers. If you order two or more items, they each may not be housed at the same location. In our effort to deliver your order immediately, you may receive two or more shipments if the items come from different distribution points.

Defective merchandise: High Tech Electronics.com does not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to High Tech Electronics.com, we will replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge. Newegg will employ every resource it has to ensure that your item is replaced promptly, without hassle.

Large Item Delivery: Large Item Delivery is designed just for large items like TVs, heavy printers (over 150 LBS), and other Electronics or Computer products (over 150 LBS). The item will be delivered to the front door of your home or office by our selected shipper (Freight trucking company). Delivery personnel will NOT unpack or setup the item for you. You'd need to upgrade to White Glove Delivery for that service. Normal delivery hours for Large Item Shipping are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., local time.

White Glove Delivery is a full-featured shipping method to take the stress out of unpacking your item. Designed exclusively for large items like TVs, heavy printers (over 150 LBS), and other Electronics or Computer products (over 150 LBS), your delivery person will bring the product into the room of your choice, completely unpack it and, if you like, dispose of all packaging materials.

APO, FPO, and P.O. Boxes delivery: We do NOT ship to APO, FPO, P.O. Box addresses.

International shipping: High Tech Electronics.com currently delivers only to addresses within the United States. We are unable to ship packages to international addresses.

Returned orders or packages: If the shipping carrier has returned your order/package to High Tech Electronics.com: once we receive the package, we'll credit your credit card back in full, including any shipping costs you may have paid. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will then be automatically generated by our system, and an email notification will be sent to notify you of the returned merchandise.

Credit Cards: High Tech Electronics.com accepts credit cards from Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number--the address and phone number your credit card company has on file for you. Incorrect information may cause a delay in processing your order.

For fraud prevention purposes, if your billing and shipping addresses are different, we must verify your shipping address. The reason we do this is to ensure that both you and us are protected from fraudulent activities. Someone may get your credit card information and your billing address and ship an order to anywhere in the US. Only you, as the cardholder, can add an alternate address on file with the bank and/or credit card company ; this keeps our fraud rate down and gives you more peace of mind knowing you are purchasing/shopping with a company who has your best interests in mind.

Please contact the bank or credit card company that issued your credit card and have your shipping address listed as an alternate address in that bank's or company memo field. Please note this only takes 5 minutes and you will never have to do it again once this is completed.

PayPal: We are happy to accept PayPal for all purchases made at High Tech Electronics.com. PayPal enables you to make purchases without revealing your credit card number or financial information. You can choose to pay for your purchase using your PayPal account instead of your credit card or check or other method of payment.

Rules for PayPal Purchases:

  • If you make a purchase using PayPal, your account is charged before your product is shipped.
  • The Ship-To address on your order must be a PayPal 'verified address.' Please make sure your account with PayPal lists your Ship-To address as a verified address.
  • Because of the unique nature of PayPal, you cannot split your method of payment between PayPal and any other method of payment (Unacceptable examples: PayPal and Visa or PayPal and personal check or PayPal and gift certificate.)
  • PayPal orders do not work with gift certificates. You can either pay with PayPal or you can use your gift certificate with some other method of payment.
  • Credits: If your order is cancelled or you need a refund for some reason, we will generally follow the same procedure as for other methods of payment. Your credit request will be reviewed and, if approved, a credit will be sent to PayPal to be applied to your account. PayPal will process the credit in between 2-5 business days.

Google Checkout: Google Checkout is an alternate method for completing your order at High Tech Electronics.com. Google Checkout enables you to make purchases without revealing your credit card number or financial information. You can choose to pay for your purchase using your Google account instead of your credit card or check or other method of payment.
